New Book Display!

Halloween is almost here, so the librarians have put together a "spooktacular" display on the 2nd floor that will terrorize and delight. With so many great titles to choose from, you'll have a hard time picking just one -- that's why I chose three! Ghost, Ghouls, and Witches. Monsters, and the undead. . . Are you ready to be spooked? Stop by the library today!

Picture the Dead by Adele Griffin and Lisa Brown "A ghost will find his way home. But I am not a ghost. And this house is not my home. After losing her parents and her brother, falling in love with Will was Jennie Lovell's last opportunity for happiness. But then she lost him too. As Jennie tries to mend the pieces of her broken life, she feels an eerie presence from something otherworldly, something that won't let her leave the past behind. Adele Griffin and Lisa Brown have created a spellbinding mystery where the living cannot always be trusted, and death is not always the end"--Dust jacket.

You Are So Undead to Me by Stacey Jay "Q: How many Zombies does it take to ruin a social life? A: Not many. Megan Berry is a Zombie Settler by birth, which means she's part-time shrink to a whole bunch of semi-dead people with killer issues. All Megan really wants is to go to homecoming, but when you're trailed by a bunch of slobbering corpses whenever you leave the house, it's kinda hard to score a date. Let's just say Megan's love life could use some major resuscitation. Megan's convinced her life can't get any worse--until someone in school starts using black magic to turn average, angsty Undead into scary, hardcore flesh-eating Zombies. Now it's up to Megan to stop the Zombie apocalypse. Her life--and more importantly, the homecoming dance--depends on it"--Back cover.

Killer Pizza: A Novel by Greg Taylor "Pizza you'll die for. Toby McGill dreams of becoming a world-famous chef, but up until now, his only experience has been watching the Food Network. When Toby lands a summer job at Killer Pizza, where pies like The Monstrosity and The Frankensausage are on the menu, things seem perfect. His coworkers, Annabel and Strobe, are cool, and Toby loves being part of a team. But none of them is prepared for what's really going on at Killer Pizza: It's a front for a monster-hunting organization! Learning to cook pizza is one thing, but killing hideously terrifying monsters? That's a whole other story. Still, if Toby quits Killer Pizza, will monsters take over his town?"--Dust jacket.
