Bright Young Things by Anna Godbersen
Fans of The Luxe series by Anna Godbersen fell in love with the decadence and drama set in the ballrooms of 19th century New York City. In Bright Young Things, the first book in Godbersen's second series, the author fast forwards to 1929 and lets readers peek at the glamour of the Jazz Age. Two eighteen year-old girls--Letty with dreams of stages and stardom, Cordelia with hopes of finally meeting her father--leave behind their sleepy Ohio town and board a train bound for the Big Apple. A misunderstanding shortly after their arrival leaves Cordy and Letty at odds with one another, and Bright Young Things follows the separate paths they take. Add socialite Astrid into the mix and what you have is a story brimming with fashion, family secrets, and three ambitious young women finding their way in NYC.
Bright Young Things is available at UFL in print and as an ebook through My Media Mall. The second book, Beautiful Days, will be released in September.
