Zombies!
Set in the near future, Mira Grant's new novel Feed takes place in a society still reeling over 20 years after the zombie uprising 0f 2014. Although mankind survived the bloody and destructive outbreak, humans now share their world with roving hordes of the ravenous undead and the virus that causes the dead to reanimate. Georgia Mason, along with her brother Shaun, are ambitious journalists in the new world of news blogging that has in many ways replaced the old established news outlets. They are thrilled when they get their big break and are chosen to exclusively cover the campaign of Peter Ryman, a charming senator running for president. However, their coverage takes a dangerous turn as the campaign trail is struck repeatedly by tragedy and they uncover what could be evidence of a high-level conspiracy. Join them in their quest to uncover the truth while outrunning and outwitting both zombies and those in power who want to silence them! This book is the first in a planned series called Newsflesh.
